Recently, I planned a trip to Mussoorie, a hill station located in Dehradoon, Uttarakhand, with my friends. So it was decided that all four of us will go there in my vehicle. As I don’t regularly use my vehicle and believes in car pooling. I decided to go for a car check-up a week before we all had planned the vacation. We known that the place is hilly terrain where it will be difficult to drive vehicle and most importantly the vehicle should be at supreme condition. What points should be kept in mind and how a good and complete car check-up can help in hassle free journey? It is recommended to go for a pre–trip inspection before leaving for a vacation. You could make the final repair before hitting the road.

Filter Check:

The filters that are in your car play a vital role in filtering the air. The filters are like the lungs of your car. They are vital in smooth functioning of vehicle. Regularly maintenance of car, cleaning dust, filth, small bugs and the end result will be great mileage. Most mechanics recommends change of filters every six months.

Check Your Car Brakes:

Regular brake check-up is highly recommended by mechanics for greater controller of vehicle. In modern-day car with advanced technology, brakes are also have evolved such as disc brakes for precise control and at the times of emergency. Brake lining filter is crucial in the both brakes disc or drum brakes. In hilly areas it is also more crucial because of the rugged terrain and slopes that can prove life threatening.

Check Water and Oil Supply:

These two are important and if not thoroughly checked your car will stop in the middle of the journey. Lack of water will result in overheating of engine.

Check Car Tire:

When going for a trip in areas which are geographical rough, proper car tiers checkup should be done as it will balance your car and will give it proper grip.
